What is with the number next to your name.

It is how many STARS I have. You gain one every time you complete a realm task. Players start with 75 STARS but they don't count for score.
Each star you get is also a STARS stat point. I started with 75 like you and earned 268 more.
Which means I'm 4 an a half times stronger than you.
